In Greene County district court Eric Nathan Ranker Jr, 20, of Jefferson was sentenced Feb. 10 to two days in jail, with credit for time served, after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommendations. He was fined $100 with a $15 surcharge. Court costs were $155.60. A charge against him in magistrate court of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Antonio Lamar Deshaunte Hatcher, 24, of Detroit, MI, was sentenced to 180 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must complete the Iowa domestic abuse program. Hatcher was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay a $90 domestic abuse surcharge, an amount not to exceed $300 for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $131.50 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Jeremy Ernest Andrews, 36, of Jefferson was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. He will get credit for time served in this case and another case. He was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay $400 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
